Wesley Gonzales Wesley Gonzales is currently a basketball pro-leaguer under the Philippines' most prestigious basketball league, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was included in the top 10 draftees for the year 2004 as a FedEx Express rookie. Undoubtedly, Wes has become one of the most promising players of the league.

Wes established the recognition paid to him by fans during his highschool and collegiate plays in the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball tournaments. He was instrumental in bringing the Ateneo Blue Eagles' much coveted championship crown in the 65th Season of the UAAP in year 2002, which ended the 14-year winning drought of the team. That was indeed, the highlight of his college basketball plays. With Larry Fonacier, he won the title Finals MVP.

In UAAP 66th Season, he led the Blue Eagles to the finals game against the FEU Tamaraws as a co-captain of the team (the other co-captain was Rich Alvarez). Wes became part of the gold-winning team in the SEA (South East Asian) Games. As he revealed in many interviews prior to that, Wes had long waited for that chance to represent the country internationally.

During the PBA Draft of 2005, Wes was among the top 10 rookie picks and he was given a place among his FedEx (now Air21) teammates. Currently, however, Wes has finally landed on with the team he dreams to play with, the San Miguel Beermen.

Aside from his basketball excellence, Wes' is also an image model for a certain brand of clothing line.
